Many of you have been in a situation where you think that you might kinda sort of be in a relationship, but it’s somewhat complicated. If not, you know someone who has been in this situation.

 

Countless individuals find themselves in this situation quite often, and I understand that it can become confusing. There are words exchanged that sounds like a relationship.

 

There are actions made that looks like a relationship. There are feelings that feel like a relationship, but when you take a step back, it seems to be complicated when you realize it’s not a relationship! (more…)

“My day isn’t right if I don’t spend time with Him!” Our Highlight of the week, Lori Hall is a marketing director at Radio One, Inc.

 

Single For 1: Where are you from?

Lori Hall: Originally Indianapolis, IN, but grew up in Phoenix, AZ.

 

Single For 1: How did you get involved in radio?

Lori Hall: It’s actually funny. (Laughs) I started in Phoenix, AZ as an intern. I wanted to be a TV newscaster, and my mom was like my PR agent. She would push me in front of people she knew.

 

I started out in television and ended up getting an internship in radio which paid $10 an hour. I jumped at it! That was a long time ago. Interns don’t get paid now. I was at the right place at the right time.   (more…)

Is My Clock Really Ticking?

We always hear about this clock that is ticking away. There seems to be this fear that time is running out.

 

Not just in relationships, but we have all had times in our lives when it felt as though we were racing against some clock. We had this deadline in our head for something we really had no control over.

 

Women, many of you have been sold a story that your knight in shining armor will sweep you off your feet at a young age. You have gone to school and graduated.

 

You have a job, so naturally, it seems like your spouse should be next. If it hasn’t happened, too many of you go into panic mode. (more…)

The Highlight: Terrence McNeill

“I moved to New York with $100 to my name.” Terrence McNeill is in his early 30’s and  is our Highlight of the week.

 

Single For 1: When did you start promoting events?

Terrence McNeill: I started doing events in 1999 at the Moncks Corner Armory in South Carolina. I’m from Moncks Corner. I wanted to do something to bring people together for my birthday. I ended up doing it on a regular basis. It was a one night event, and then I fell in love with it.

 

Single For 1: How did you end up in “The Big Apple”?

Terrence McNeill: There was an opportunity for an internship at Bad Boy entertainment in 2005. The entertainment industry is something I have always been interested in. It took 2 years to get the internship. It was a good opportunity to broaden my horizon and give me the ability to do bigger and better parties in NY.  I have been here ever since doing my thang!
